Rather aptly named the Pronto, this relatively compact gadget handles every part of the cooking process, from weighing to sautéing, slow-cooking, simmering, reheating, and even air-frying thanks to its modular companion, the Alto. With its small footprint and multipurpose design, the dynamic duo of Pronto and Alto occupy a fraction of the countertop space and let you prep elaborate meals without all the messy dishes and dread-inducing clean-up. Pronto and Alto were designed to take the effort out of cooking, so you can focus on the most important part… eating!

If there ever was a perfect time for an appliance like Pronto, now’s probably it. Modernization has had two pretty undeniable side effects. Cities have become more densely populated, and as a result homes and kitchens have grown smaller. Moreover, services like Doordash have taken the effort out of ordering takeout, making cooking at home more laborious than ever before. Pronto tackles those two problems rather elegantly, offering up a device that’s compact enough to fit in most tiny kitchens, uses fewer dishes (so cleaning up is easier), and takes the manual labor out of cooking, i.e., the standing over the stove and constant monitoring while your food cooks. Designed by the folks at CookingPal (the same guys who created Multo – the kitchen gadget that chops, cooks, and cleans), Pronto and Alto provide the same universal, effortless approach to cooking by being smart, all-purpose devices that make meal-prep easier, faster, and smarter.

Built-in Scale – Save time and reduce dirty dishes with Pronto’s built-in scale.

Cool-to-Touch Bowl Handles – Their 6QT bowl, which fits enough food to feed a family, features Cool-to-Touch handles to protect you from getting hurt.

Made to look like a modern, futuristic pressure cooker, Pronto sports a compact, cylindrical design with a 12 x 13-inch footprint and a 12-inch vertical. Open the lid and you’ve got a 6 quart (5.8 liter) ILAG ceramic-coated aluminum pot on the inside, allowing you to make meals for as many as 6 people in just one device. Its main design highlights include: the built-in scale that let you portion-control with efficiency, the built-in handles that let you go from cooking to serving without any extra utensils, and the Pronto’s interface that includes a 4.3” color display and a rather large jog-dial that lets you control the appliance even with cooking gloves on.

Much like its elder sibling Multo, which was designed to handle multiple cooking activities in one device, Pronto has quite the repertoire, with the ability to pressure cook, slow cook, sauté, steam, reheat, and even handle more niche activities like fermenting and sterilizing. The built-in scale lets you portion the ingredients while a steam basket insert lets you steam foods. Want to pressure cook? The lid closes shut just like on a regular pressure cooker, and a whole array of safety features ensure there are no accidents. Pronto comes along with an automatic pressure release system with a steam diffuser cap and sensors that prioritize user safety. Cool-to-touch handles on the lid let you easily carry the pot from the kitchen to the dining table too, eliminating the need for an extra utensil to serve food out of. Your Pronto even comes with its own custom-made steam basket accessory that also works as a strainer, and a silicone spatula for stirring and serving, completing your entire kitchen setup while matching with and complementing the Pronto perfectly!

Using the Pronto feels incredibly intuitive for both beginners as well as seasoned cooks. The 4.3-inch display on the front lets you access all of Pronto’s functions as well as view your cooking status, while CookingPal’s app allows you to access a host of other features including an ever-growing recipe catalog that’s designed to pair with your Pronto as well as take the complexity out of cooking. Recipes are simplified on the app with an auto-translate feature that converts the recipe into the language of your choice. Pronto even allows you to remotely monitor/control your device from wherever you are (after you’ve powered it on and begun cooking) so you could check up on the meal progress while in the middle of a meeting, right from your work desk. Future updates to the app will also include virtual cooking lessons, health goals, voice commands, and shopping-list integrations.

However, Pronto’s greatest feature is its modular buddy Alto, which pops right on top of it and turns it into an instant air-fryer. Known as the Dynamic Duo (like Batman and Robin), Pronto and Alto team up to defeat every other cluttering kitchen appliance ever made. Alto sits right on Pronto’s 6-quart cooking bowl, giving it an air-fryer feature while also letting it bake, roast, and grill. A touchscreen display on top of your Alto lets you access its features, and the same bowl you use for weighing and cooking stuff suddenly transforms into an air-fryer, giving you one more feature without the hassle of buying a separate appliance that needs storage, maintenance, and washing up. Made to be modular without being restrictive, the Alto accessory works with other 6-quart pots too, simply attaching to their top to turn them into makeshift air fryers too!

Living up to its name, Pronto helps simplify and speed up the cooking process, helping you save space, time, and energy while giving you the benefit of a low-effort meal that’s more nutritious than takeout (and more carbon-friendly too, since you’re not having it delivered home). The Pronto all-in-one kitchen appliance starts at $179 on Kickstarter, with the Alto accessory starting at $79. You can either buy them independently, or grab them as a ‘dynamic duo’ for $239, with free shipping to the US, EU, and UK.
